BRODHEADSVILLE, PA – Edward Abraham, President of the fast-growing Liquid Fence Company®, announced today, from his Pocono Mountain headquarters, the addition of Mole Repellent Worms to The Liquid Fence Company’s expanding line of easy-to-use, all-natural products.  His partnership with FoodSource Lure Corporation promises a strong production and distribution coalition.

Abraham explains, “we couldn’t have found a better production partner for our humane Mole Repellent Worm product than FoodSource Lure Corporation.  Their biodegradable ‘real food’ worms matched with our all-natural Liquid Fence® Mole Repellent make a reliable, eco-friendly and guaranteed-effective mole repellent, that we find today’s environmentally conscious consumer is seeking. We’re thrilled to add Mole Worms to our growing list of earth-friendly repellents.”

“Our unique food ingredient blends are a versatile delivery vehicles for scents, pharmaceuticals and other materials,” said Ed Rogers, FoodSource’s co-founder and president.  “Liquid Fence’s experts told us what consumers needed to fight ground moles, and together we designed a product to meet those specifications.  We are thrilled to be working with a company of Liquid Fence’s caliber, and look forward to developing even more products with Liquid Fence in the future.”

In addition to flagship product Liquid Fence® Deer & Rabbit Repellent, other Liquid Fence eco-safe, cruelty-free animal repellents include Goose Repellent, Mole Repellent, Dog and Cat Repellent and Snake Repellent.  The Company also makes a Liquid Net® family of DEET-free botanical “Ultimate Insect Repellents” for people, pets and horses, plus, an organic kelp plant “booster” aptly named Speedy Grow®.

Young Maryland Scientist “Discovers” Effective Deer Repellent

July 30, 2007

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – With an exploding white-tailed deer population wreaking havoc on Maryland’s suburban landscapes, vegetable gardens, and one very special pear tree, Jackson Lee Koepke of Ellicott City was determined to discover “the most effective deer repellent” and then go public with his findings. And that’s just what he did!
He devised a series of ingenious experiments that were carried out on a deer-plagued property bordering Patapsco Valley State Park. The dramatic results were presented to a small group of fellow scientists, not to mention his 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Bourke, at Hollifield Station Elementary School’s most recent Science Fair.

“It was a lot of fun and a great project for Jack,” father Mark Koepke boasted.

Jackson chose the experiment for the school Science Fair after his sister’s Korean ornamental pear tree was decimated by local deer only one week after it had been planted in the Koepke’s yard. “Darn if the deer didn’t nearly eat the entire tree. And it was expensive!” Mr. Koepke lamented.

The experiment involved five 10-pound piles of a deer-favorite, dried corn. Equally spaced in the family yard that adjoins Patapsco, four of the five piles were mixed with different repellents recommended by a local garden products retailer: human hair (from Jackson’s last haircut), Squirrel Away Hot Pepper Powder, a grated bar of Irish Spring soap, and Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent. A control pile was left untreated (and lasted all of two hours). After two weeks of well-documented observation and very mixed results, Jackson Koepke had one clear winner in his “Most Effective Deer Repellent” experiment.

“The Liquid Fence treated corn was completely untouched. Other methods slowed the deer but ultimately failed.”

Organized on a bright green poster board, the results of Jackson’s experiment are actually quite amazing when you consider the number of deer that regularly come looking for a meal on the family property.

“We counted 12 deer in the yard just yesterday, right Jack?” adds dad, “But now they won’t eat anything sprayed with Liquid Fence.” So all’s well that ends well. Jackson’s presentation was a hit at the school Science Fair and thanks to his “discovery”, his sister’s Korean pear tree has now fully recovered. But, what about future science projects and career plans?

“I want to be an engineer” says Jackson enthusiastically, and, if you have a bit of time he’ll tell you all about his current backyard Lego city building project.

If Derek Fell says he couldn’t have a garden without it, chances are, neither can you.

May 18, 2007

R_Derek72BRODHEADSVILLE, PA – In the heart of rural Bucks County, Pennsylvania, near the quiet village of Tinicum, there lies a little piece of the English countryside called Cedaridge Farm. It is the home of Derek Fell, world-renowned horticulturist, photographer and author of more than sixty award-winning garden books. A test garden where Derek evaluates different plant varieties and growing techniques, Cedaridge Farm is 24 acres of natural and cultivated beauty, the likes of which would have inspired Claude Monet himself. But what is most amazing about this haven of herbaceous tranquility is that it exists – survives might be a better word – in spite of daily invasion by relentless, destructive forces of nature. Every evening, like clockwork, dozens of deer from neighboring Ralph Stover State Park wander through Derek’s property, hungry and looking for dinner. They’re tempted by the tasty plantings – but they don’t touch – because Derek has a secret weapon – Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent.

Having tried countless methods to repel deer – with little or no effect – Derek is completely reliant on this all-natural, easy-to-use spray. Liquid Fence is so effective, even protecting deer favorites such as tulips and hostas, it has prompted Derek to assert, “I couldn’t have a garden without it”.

Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent works on scent – so the deer don’t have to take a bite to be repelled. In the early spring, Derek starts spraying Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent on his plantings as soon as the tender shoots appear. A once-a-month spraying is all that’s needed because Liquid Fence keeps working after it rains – but Derek says it’s a good idea to reapply after a heavy downpour of an inch or more. Best of all, it’s effective through all four seasons – repelling deer right through the coldest winter months.

Keep snakes away from family, pets and livestock with all natural, naphthalene-free snake repellent

August 23, 2006

BRODHEADSVILLE, PA – Now there’s a safe, easy and effective way to keep snakes off patios, out of rock gardens or foundations and away from kids, pets and livestock. The Liquid Fence® Company, makers of America’s number one selling deer and rabbit repellent have created a naphthalene-free repellent that is guaranteed to drastically reduce disturbing – and sometime dangerous – snake infestation problems.

SnakefamilyMany snake repellents contain naphthalene (the major component in mothballs). Scientific studies have shown that this chemical presents health hazards to both humans and animals. In fact, the EPA has classified it as a Group C, possible human carcinogen – certainly not something to be used around family or pets. Liquid Fence Snake Repellent contains NO naphthalene. In fact, every ingredient in Liquid Fence Snake Repellent is all natural and environmentally friendly.

Although perfectly safe for humans and animals, the ingredients in Liquid Fence Snake Repellent irritate and confuse a snake’s chemosensory systems (sense of taste, smell). When these senses are impaired, the snake is unable to gather information about its surrounding environment, forcing it to look elsewhere to survive. It’s been proven effective against most common types of snakes including Northern Ringneck, Eastern Hognose, Smooth Green, Corn, Gray Ratsnake, Yellow Ratsnake, Everglades Ratsnake, California Kingsnake, Desert Black Kingsnake, Speckled Kingsnake, Pueblan Milksnake, Eastern Milksnake, Bullsnake, Northern Pine, Northern Watersnake, Red-Bellied, Eastern Garter, Southern Copperhead, Eastern Cottonmouth, Florida Cottonmouth, and Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

Every two to three weeks, the repellent can be sprayed on and around areas where snakes are present – rocks, boards, flagstones, even cracks and fissures in foundations and crawl spaces. Or, a perimeter barrier can be created by spraying a band around property, buildings, or landscaped garden areas. This method is perfect for campers – it’s a great way to keep snakes away from campsites and tents!

Backed by a 100% money-back guarantee, Liquid Fence Snake Repellent is available at local garden centers and hardware stores everywhere. Call the Liquid Fence toll-free number for a store near you: (800) 923-3623. You can also buy Liquid Fence on the web at  www.liquidfence.com.
