New Scientific Breakthrough Frost Protector Spray for Plants Wins 2010 NRHA Gold Award
BRODHEADSVILLE, PA – The homeruns keep adding up for The Liquid Fence® Company’s FreezePruf™, with its third major honor: A Gold Medal at the 2010 North American Packaging and Merchandising Awards.
The North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) awarded FreezePruf, the revolutionary new frost protector spray for plants, the Gold Medal for Packaging.
The NHRA Award is the third prestigious award FreezePruf has received, having won “Best in Show” at the 2009 Independent Garden Center (IGC) Show and the 2010 MGA Green Thumb Award.
“A panel of seven expert judges selected the winners among submissions from 115 manufacturers throughout the US and Canada for its first-ever NRHA Packaging and Merchandising Awards,” says Allison DeWitt, Program Coordinator for NRHA. “As a Gold Medal Winner, FreezePruf demonstrated a superior level of packaging excellence.”
Developed by botanists, the eco-safe spray protects ornamental, fruit and vegetable plants from frost and freeze damage. It improves a healthy plant’s natural cold tolerance from 2 to 9 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the variety of plant, helping to extend its growing season by a couple of weeks in early spring and/or late fall.
“The hits keep coming for FreezePruf,” says Edward Abraham, president of The Liquid Fence Company. “We knew this product would be hit out of the ballpark!”
FreezePruf was showcased at the 2010 National Hardware Show® at the Las Vegas Convention Center, May 4-6, 2010.
The awards were sponsored by NRHA, a trade organization representing over 36,000 hardware stores, home centers and consumer-oriented lumberyards in the hardware/home improvement industry.
